Phase 1: Discovery

WE WORK WITH PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS to define the business requirements, scope, existing system functionality, integration & technology constraints and requirements.

We then produce a rough set of project time-lines and budgets based on one or more options.

DiscoveryMost of the interviews can be done by phone or web conferencing.
In this phase, we interview you, your webmaster, your IT staff, plus other stakeholders (e.g., the marketing department) at your discretion. These interviews give us comprehensive terms of reference. They provide a framework within which to review existing software products and applications and evaluate them against each other. We also weigh the option of building something from scratch.

newtonDiscoveryWe then develop a technology architecture based on your current system infrastructure with the appropriate, additional product layers (e.g., a Content Management System). This is, typically, a 4- to 6-week phase and the deliverables will summarize the system requirements, 1 to 3 different options with rough budgets and schedules for each option.

Most of the interviews can be done by phone and/or web conferencing with a presentation/review meeting done in person or videocast, prior to final changes and sign-off of Phase 1.

Phased Approach

1 Discovery. Define the business requirements, scope, existing system functionality, integration and technology constraints.

2 Analysis & Design. This includes the transformation of business requirements into technical specifications, schedules and budgets.

3 Development.  Usually the major part of the project costs, as we assign a team of programmers and web developers to build the system.

4 Implementation. Delivers the new system, integrates it into your production environment and ensures it is functioning according to specifications.

5 Completion. Project management is handed over to the support and maintenance team
